1958 ncg Sub 5508 just purchased

Here's a little beauty just obtained from Steve Mulholland during his visit to UK last week.
What a great piece, original Radium dial and hands, gilt lettering, great thin case and general overall patina. Keeps perfect time, but then what else with a 1530 movement at its heart?

Many thanks Steve!

Thanks guys, always wanted a ncg submariner and to find one with original dial and hands is pretty much as good as it gets for me. The radium still glows in the dark but with a 1601 year half life probably not surprising! The radium has oxidised grey/white as it does on contact with air over time and the dial is very finely pitted in places whilst keeping its gilt lustre.

I had the pleasure to meet with Steve Mulholland and Mike McCarty in London last saturday, we had a great lunch and shared our respective "watch experiences".

I tend to think the ncg sub looks better on NATO, what do you guys think?

cheers,
Alan

I think your 5508 NCG on a black & grey NATO would look awesome.
