Now I am going clock crazy!
Have bought a bunch of antique clocks for the house and, if that's not bad enought, I found this one for outside.
I am getting nasty letters from the HOA about the unpainted front door. |

Nice! Radio controlled, so now you'll be peaking out the window to check all the antique clocks inside!
At least until the kudzu covers it.

Let's see some of the antique ones. I have a couple of clocks but they are not antiques, I love them all the same.

Nice clock for outside. BTW, if you have to paint the front door, red would look good, IMHO.

Yep these things speak to me as well, just as well as everybody in the house ignores me - must admit I do turn off the chimes
Bubba I find it comforting to have something that is older than me in the house, I expect you do it for the same reason |

I gotta be honest here...I love that flag outside of the house. It is amazing how different two developed cultures (I'm hesitant to say superpowers) can be. In America the flag is displayed with pride, it seems instilled in your people to honour your national colours. In the UK you hardly ever see our flags displayed by homeowners, especially the St George's Cross. Our national symbol is taken as an entirely differnt symbol and it is something the people won't talk about let alone display. I've said it on here before and I'll say it again, good on you for having pride in your homeland I salute you!!!! J |

When I was there, I bought both a mug and a picture frame with this picture on it because I loved the colours and the image itself, but I also love what it represents and the memories it brings back of Florida and the USA! |

. On the first floor we have three Westminister Chimes and an old German cuckoo clock that all go off around the same time. I watch TV downstairs in the basement.

not necessarily antiques, but my dad has lots and lots of clocks/watches around his house too...
his passion for watches has passed down to me now... though my brother isn't the least bit interested in watches... |

Whew! I misread the title of this thread and thought you had switched teams on us, Joe! Amazing what difference one little old letter "L" can make.

I've always had a thing for old clocks myself and have couple around the house.
I like it.

I love your landscaping BTW. When will we realize that endless acres of neatly manicured, watered and fertilized turfgrass is not good for the environment?

Joe,
Like the look of your front garden, but in all seriousness get rid of those Fishbone Firns. They self-seed and spread like buggery............ Michael |
