Warranty card holder

Hi guys,

I picked up a watch from a TS a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the Warranty Card holder has a gold coloured triangle printed on the left upper corner, I have never seen this before Is this something new or is it releative to the country of purchase.
The photo is one I picked up from the net.

If it's a mistake, keep it. Could be worth thousands one day.

It might indicate the country of purchase but not sure with Rolex. Canadian warranty card holders do not have those gold triangles. As shown below on my BLNR (purchased in 2016), all my other purchases within my signature did not have the triangles either:

I’ve seen a lot of cards and holders from a lot of countries and I’ve never seen that before.

Doesn’t mean anything though as it’s not uncommon for Rolex to make tiny changes like that that are short lived or region specific.

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it. It looks like it's country releated as I picked up a BLRO from a U.K. AD a few weeks ago and it doesn't have it

It’s clearly a MK2 holder

Yes. As I understand it, the gold triangle is US AD. This is similar to the previous generation warranty card where Rolex US AD had the “brochure”/booklet style warranty holder, while non-Rolex US AD countries had a green leather “wallet” warranty holder.

Someone can fact check me on this, but this is what I recall.

Seems like all Rolex watches I have bought in the last 2 years have that triangle. All bought from US ADs.

Just wanted to add my 2-cents to this thread. I recently picked up a Submariner Hulk of US origin, came with the warrantee card holder and it has the exact same gold triangle in the upper corners on both sides.

Do the boxes/card holders/etc all come from the factory? Or are they processed in different places? Seems odd to have variances... in terms of manufacturing costs/quality control etc.

Completely unacceptable and I would not stand for that! We pay a lot for these watches so send it to RSC to be fixed.

I always heard that Rolex USA is a whole different breed of animal when it comes to how the company operates and conducts business.

I'm not really surprised about this variance.

I also got one.
ROLEX SA - GENEVE SUISSE
Ref. 4365545.276
I think it has to do with the country specific deliveries. However, this is only an hypothesis and not confirmed.
