Bluesy for...

Hey guys. I post a lot of these questions.

I'm 33, covered in tattoos and work in behavioral health. I am dumping my Big Pilot tomorrow and I'm a 1 watch guy.
Is the bluesy for old guys lol? I showed it to my girlfriend and she said it reminds her of something her dad would wear. My eyes go towards CHNR, bluesy or a black face explorer II. Those are in my budget.

I'd love to get another BLNR but I sold mine for 8k over a year ago and I wont pay 15k.

I have it- not just for old guys. Would take it over a CHNR but don't see either as one-and-only. Exp II would sooner fit that bill IMO.

TT blue sub + an OP would be a killer combo. Or a Speedmaster. Not suggesting you should stretch for it but something to think about.

Get the one that your heart loves! Go look at them, try them on (if you can find them), and you will know which one belongs on YOUR wrist!

They are all great watches, but you will regret it if you don’t get the on your heart desires!

Havent tried on a Skydweller yet. The guy I'm selling it to might have one. I'll check it out.

I have a bluesy and I’m your age. I think your tattoos will complement it. In person it’s amazing. Once you see it you will have to have it. Take her to see it in person.

I love the Bluesy and I don't feel that it's for older people. It's elegant, classy and sporty all at the same time. I agree with blada4life and I think your ink will compliment a Bluesy.

Do not try on the RG CHNR, it will hook you. Not the TT, but the full gold. Along those same lines, stay away from the YG blue Sub, another slippery slope watch.

Bluesy 1000000% - nothing in the current Rolex lineup matches that blue sunburst dial. It is the best looking dial available across all the models I'd say.

It will match with your tatts as well.

The CHNR is the way to go, There is a photo of a member with Tattoos and one on and it looks good.

Yes!! One of the best. The blue dial gets all the hype but the black is all class

I’ll never understand the age argument. I’m 36 and wear a TT DJ41 as my primary watch. Life’s too short, wear what you love.

I live in the bay area, I feel like an old man every time I put on an automatic watch, and I’m not even 40.

. Have you considered maybe gong with a stainless datejust 41? They are very comfortable to wear ! I wore my bluesy daily and my polar daily. Polar got scratched really bad on bezel quickly so I stopped wearing it. Bluesy is an amazing eye stopping watch but I don’t think a good daily watch. I found it didn’t go with a lot of stuff I wore. Or a good old stainless sub. Goes with everything! I wore a stainless sub daily for 6 years

A bluesy definitely isn't for 'old men'. TT is making a massive come back, I'm a similar age to you and rock mine all the time. TBH out of my collection it's the one that gets the most and best compliments, especially from none WIS people.

I say get the bluesy, its iconic!

I have a full sleeve and it compliments my bluesy very well. I'm in my early 30's.

Do you have ink running down your left arm forearm / down to your wrist? If so, show us a pic here. Might help us determine what might look best.

Early 30’s - no tattoos, but proud bluesy owner.

There’s a part of me that always felt the bluesy was a bit Scarface and thus a little “old man”. But when I bought the watch I just didn’t care. I had this feeling of I’m going to be a part of some movement to bring TT watches back - and that yes you can be young(Er) and rock it.

It’s a sick watch, it will look great. If you like the watch, ignore the noise and go for it.

Recent Bluesy convert here.
It looks just as good or even better than their marketing photos would indicate.

And yes, it will likely complement your tatts.

Cheers

I live in SF and not wearing an Apple Watch makes me feel 80.

Definitely dumping the BP tomorrow. I love that watch but it's a tad big even on my 7.5 inch wrist. The leather I cant take in water.

I've owned a few black subs in the past, so I might go TT, Exp II or honestly the 116622 yachty blue dial. That's gorgeous.
