Blue is a winner. I have been looking for an old 16618/16613 insert myself.

I am surprised how modern - but still classic - the Kermit is.

With rising costs of this reference for complete sets, how important is a complete set to you? I’m in the market for one but I plan to wear it and not collect it. I’m a sucker for 5 digit references and the splash of green and maxi dial is just beautiful. Minty condition seem to be around 9xxx missing papers, with papers 12xxx plus.

These are only going one way , I’d pay the extra $$ for a full set & make sure it’s a minter , good luck in your search ...... what year are you thinking of getting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Year isn’t near as important as I’m not focused on a true 2003 as I’m not looking for a safe queen, I plan to wear this one in my rotation.

The only way to be sure it’s the real McCoy ,is the papers, model number on watch is 16610.....That being said I bought one from a trusted seller with everything except the papers.Just had it serviced at New York RSC,they confirmed it’s the real thing and service papers have LV after model number

Added this Kermit to my small collection this weekend . Still need to be sized for my wrist but I'm so excited! Cannot wait to wear it.

As someone who loves the LV, but doesn't actually own one (yet!) Can anyone tell me about the different shades of green?
What I mean is some bezels look quite a dark shade and some really light (are these referred to as 'grape'?) Just wondered if these different shades were how they were originally produced by Rolex, or is it just how they've all faded differently over the years? Thanks in advance... I’ve noticed a few 2005 LV’s are more lime green , prefer the dark green myself

I don't think any of the lighter ones were caused by fade. They were originally that way. I've never heard of one fading but I'd be interested to see one if they had. There is a great post on the forum somewhere where a member posted pictures of all the bezels throughout the production run. Tried to find it for you buy could not. Maybe someone else can link it here. |
