Am I the only one who likes the all black GMT better than the black/blue?
The all black is more versatile and classic in my opinion and simply more beautiful.
Somehow I think that the shortage of the BLNR is affecting people’s perception. What do you think? I’m thinking about getting a GMT for my travels to compliment my daily wear sub and I would always go for the all black. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

To each his own. Make YOU happy. I had the GMT you speak of, and traded it for a BLNR. I much prefer the blue/black, which seems to change colors depending upon the light. They are both beautiful classic time pieces. I also have a Sub. The black is truly classic as well.

There's an immense amount of love for the BLNR on here; it's a beautiful piece but it's not for everyone. There are many members who have bought and flipped. There are quite a few that have bought and flipped the BLNR multiple times.
I flipped my BLNR four months ago after three years because I didn't bond with it. I think I bought into the hype of the piece instead of buying because I really wanted it. I don't miss it and I would not reacquire it. To each his own but the LN is by no means a poor choice as an alternative.

My preference has always been for the all black.
IMO it has a more serious look and is more versatile than the bicolored versions. I've never needed the bezel color to determine day or night. No bad choices, just one man's preference. |

I'd have to revisit the all black GMT. I had tried on the BLNR a few times now and was trying to convince myself to pick it up. I can't put my finger on why it doesn't sing to me. It's a great piece on paper.

I'm starting to like the LN more and more. It's a nice all arounder, even more so than the BLNR. But no way would I trade my BLNR for the LN, the BLNR feels like a special piece where the LN feels like another nice black watch. The splash of blue is all that takes to make a difference.

I've owned both and flipped both. If I were to buy another GMT Rolex I'd pony up for the BLRO, or I'd opt for a minty 16750.

I'm saving for the LN. As much as I like the look of multi-colored GMT bezels, I prefer the all black. Long term goal: z-blue (green glass), GMTIIC (green GMT hand), and LV (green dial & bezel). What's odd is, I generally dislike green in almost every other regard.

I like my BLNR a lot, but the LN is just as spectacular in its own right.

Both are great. Green gmt hand bothers me for some reason. Wish it was another color.

This may be a little off tangent but I had a resale choice between the two tone and batman at the same price. Ultimately gold font on black ceramic and heavier weight sang to me. One of my most versatile watches for any occasion.

There is something classic about the all black bezel. I liked it more than the Black and Blue. I will say though that if Rolex offered a Pepsi or Coke in stainless I would have gone for either of those. To me those are also classic GMT looks. The Black and Blue is like the new guy late for the party. There are plenty of fans of the BLNR on here and that is fine, but it was not for me. Shame on Rolex for making the Pepsi only in PM. The Pepsi bezel is a hallmark of the GMT and Rolex made it unobtainable for most of its fans. Poor move Rolex. I think it also reduces the 'collectibility' of the GMT when the Pepsi is nearly 3 times the cost of the all black.

I like the black better than any of the multi-color combinations. The black looks professional as the others look contrived and gimmicky to me.

This is so absurd it’s laughable. By who’s definition exactly?
How can something with two colours be more versatile? If concerned with matching an outfit, one would have to ensure that one’s attire would match both colours as opposed to two, thus making it less versatile.
