Dumpster Diving outside of Rolex factories

Can you imagine if Rolex has dumpsters outside of their facilities what kinds of treasures one could find.

Has anyone who has been there seen dumpsters? Probably the only treasures you would find would be half eaten sack lunches and maybe some loogies.

I'm sure all watch components, fixtures, chips, etc. that aren't used get recycled.

I'm also sure you'd have to be Jason Bourne to get close to one of their dumpsters.

I'm sure their trash (treasure?) control is like Fort Knox. They don't even want you to be able to extract DNA from an old sandwich...ha! But one can dream of finding discarded Daytonas. Cheers!

you would probably find some green plastic Rolex watch box, you know the one that don't close with the watch in it...yes the one that fail quality control...oh never mind they sell those to costumers, with their $ 15 000 watches.

could not resist. :-)

Well...now that we’re talking secrets in the dustbins, it’s the cleaning crew that can’t miss as a source. A secret spy mission uncovered new materials for the Basel 2018 releases.

First - this ethereal fluffy stuff

I wouldn’t put it past Rolex to intentionally stuff fake documents in a dumpster just hoping that someone gets ahold of it.

Trash is trash and trash to them might be odd bracelets not meeting specks or cases or crazy looking emblems. I’d bet there some good finds. I’ve gotten more than a few good things dumpster diving. Although for the most part those days are behind me (I hope). Maybe the RSC dumpsters are the best, maybe old crowns and dials and case backs. Worn bracelets.

I was hoping to read about some good Rolex dumpster dive finds here.

I saw a documentary once about Disney back in the days. They threw away sketches of their movies..and someone could just pick them up.

First, hopes of finding a fortune in gold in their sewer system and now dumpster diving behind the factory.

It is common to find new guitars in the dumpsters at Guitar Center... So good luck in Switzerland.

I do...

its well worth a looksee in any builders skips, ive found loads of useful / sellable items.... one man junk is another mans treasure.... dumpsters or wheelie bins as their known over here in England may be locked, also trespass laws may apply... looking into this further the laws are bit sketchy in regards to all waste being confidential.... however Id give it ago given the rights of access,
