Put it away and leave it for a while. When you come back to it in a few months I'll be like a new watch!

Why not try the Daytona in black? I've seen the white dial and it is significantly less striking than the black. I would not trade a Daytona for a Datejust.

daytonas way better than DJII in my opinion. DJII is cool, but doesnt really feel well balanced to me.

Not to go completely off topic, but has anyone seen one of the brits Daytonas on Million Dollar Listing LA? The other one wears a DJII I believe. Funny tho that daytona looks HUGE. I cant figure it out its obviously legit, but for some reason does not look to scale at all.

Anyone notice this?

This. I had white and let it go. The black dial I loved. (I let that go too but I'd have another black dial in a heartbeat).

Sell it. You will get your money back for it. I can understand where you are coming from. The Daytona is a pretty watch and I have tried to love it, but in the end I decided not to buy one. I much prefer my Submariner.

I have that with my white dial AP chrono. It is best as an indoors watch. You really need a sunburst dial.

Dump it. Life's too short. Get the DJII and pocket the difference.

If you are out of love with the Daytona, I would certainly move on. I personally prefer the Daytona to the DJ, but don't let that sway you one way or the other because there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to looks. I wouldn't worry about long-term value either. While the Daytona will (in my opinion) hold value slightly better, modern/mass-produced Rolex watches really aren't investments, so I say buy the one you like.

One of the Brits wears a watch with a strap. That might be a Daytona. There was a real estate function on one episode and lots of large looking APs and strapped Daytonas were on display.

Doesn't seem like the Brits are very successful on the show, or is that just the script? I like them, and I liked Madison and Josh Flagg, but the big hairy guy with the girlfriend is a bit aggressive.

If you don't like it anymore then flip it. No point in keeping a watch you're not happy with

The Daytona might not be for you...it's not for everybody. But I would make sure of that before you flip it away.

That's funny I thought it looked big on him as well. I'm pretty sure he is a really small guy. Im guessing he's 5'7-5'8 and 165lbs tops. That's why it looks bigger in him. I'm 5'11, 240 lbs and looks a hair small on me. The other Brit wears a DJII with the light blue dial and silver Romans. I've paused the show several times to check out watches. This is one of my favorite shows on TV. I laughed bc I own both of those pieces.

Looks....Daytona
Long Term Value......Daytona

Either sell it and bank $ until you find something you really like....or hang on to one of the best chronographs ever made!

I think it comes up as often for the black face as the white face, maybe it is the lack of bling in the bezel that puts people off.
Absolutely this.

When I first saw the Daytona (I'm a relatively recent WIS), I loved the all steel - but it wore thin pretty fast so it was lucky I didn't rush into it...

Then I bought a TT 116523, and I love it as much now as the day I bought it over 2 years ago.

Long term value will be better with the Daytona, but I would trade if you don't really like it, I don't like Daytonas a lot except for the ceramic bezel ones, so I would do it

Keep the watch and source a new dial. The Panda is a beauty and while not cheap you would lose money with the flip anyways.

Really the question isn't if you love it, but rather do you like it?

If not, then there is no hope.

If you still like it but the honeymoon is over, keep it in a drawer for a month or two and then wear it again. It will be like getting a new watch, but for free.
