Will vintage Tudor prices skyrocket now that Tudor is back in the US?

Title says it all. What do you experts who have been watching the market for years think? Will vintage Tudor prices skyrocket now that Tudor is back in the US market? Should I be buying my first Tudor now instead of later?

I think if you want a new model now is the time to get it. But the vintages have been steadily rising in price for a while now. But tw all very dependant of the model. Midsize watches can be had for relative bargains but the snowflakes and home plates and any sport model Tudor has really risen in price in the past few years

Finding a 7031-2/0 not an easy task in mint condition. They have risen quite a bit over the years as have the Monte Carlo's. Snowflakes also have moved up steadily but still represent good value IMHO. As for sky rocketing due to release in US? I don't think modern watches dictate vintage prices in any way myself. I do think it reinvigorates interest in the old models. Whether that equates to sales is anybody's guess.

Hard to predict. If the Tudor line ultimately fails in the US, it might drive all Tudor watches up.

i agree with some here - more awareness of what tudor really is via the publicity and possibly a less expensive way for some who normally wouldnt buy a rolex - but i doubt prices will go crazy

For vintage Tudors, any desireable model, is quite comparable price wise with Rolex. Most good condition Tudor subs I've seen have fetched a price comparable to that of a Rolex sub of the same era. The chronos have increased in price significantly in the past 2 years, they weren't to hard to grab for $1000-1500, now your lucky to find one under $2k. While its still less than a Daytona, some of the vintage chronos like the baseplate and stuff bring price tags of 10-15k+ while I love the vintage Tudors I might have to get the new heritage chrono instead. A bit easier on the pocket. I've also been looking at the new dive watches, they seem to be incredible watches for the money.

$10-15k for Homeplate or 7032-1/0 not a chance! Try $22-27K depending on condition if you are even able to find one. You can get a 7159 or Monte Carlo for $10-15K.
