Finally! Had to go grey - 15500

After 3 months of enlisting myself at every dealer and boutique in Switzerland, I decided to pay a “small” premium on the grey dial. It’s my first AP, and it’s interesting to observe how people react to it, and how it influences perception!

Not an everyday wearer like my Rolex explorer, but when the occasion comes, it sure does hit another level of style, luxury, status, and beauty!

Nice watch. How long did you try to source a grey dial? I obtained my black dial without waiting and thought these two colors were widely available.

Started sourcing in August, live in Switzerland, and registered with Bucherer and two AP boutiques...standard answer I got was 1-2 years. So went grey instead and found a good deal here in Geneva from a private seller. When did you obtain the black dial? Even in Switzerland, these watches are near impossible to get at MRSP, unless you have serious connections.

Allocation sizes I am told are higher for the US than Switzerland. I received my black 15500 watch in June from AP here in the US.

You're one lucky guy to get one without a wait! Must have some good connections at your AD. Or maybe you're just a big spender!

Finally! Had to go grey - 15500

Received mine in late May after my friend went to the Carribean and made connection there while vacationing. So wasn’t even usa mainland boutique. Basically, He was offered both grey or black and we ended up buying both

My understanding only the blue dial is exclusively through the boutiques. But as you know, distribution is slowly being limited to either third-party-run or company-run AP boutiques.

Beautiful timepiece. I love the grey dial. Congratulations!
Difficult to buy at the AD. Supply of 15500’s to non-boutiques is very limited due to AP policy to move to a boutique-only model the next years.
