Your 60, you worked hard I'm assuming. I cant think of a more fitting person to own one. Its a fairly understated diver just like the sub and deepsea.. if you like it but it and enjoy it

Why push it?

I think it has nothing to do with age. I persoanlly think it's more to do with your size, and with your stature, you'll look great with one on your wrist! Go for it man!

Well, I will be seventy in three months. I wear what I want, at this age you can....usually a 43mm or a Daytona.
I think the OP may be alluding to how older gents can become more conservative in their tastes. More cautious . But you only get one life....wear whatever you want.

I am in my 40's and wear my JC DSSD daily for everything. Intend to well past my 80's if allowed.

Who cares what people think.

Actually, a lot of the younger people don't even wear watches...so, those of us on this side of "younger" (ahem) are already delineating the generation gap by wearing anything.

So...if you're going to wear a watch, might as well be the want you want.

Think it would work well for you. It’s not really age with that watch, more so size.

I'm 5.6 150lb. I don't have problem wearing DSSD at all. Love the watch, it's my favorite.

You'll be fine. The guy that got me into watches is 70+ now and wears a DSSD along with AP Offshores and an RM. Looks great on him and he's actually very low key.

No way! I’m sure you would look awesome with it. Just had a client in my office yesterday with a DSSD. He’s about 50 or so, and he looked great with it.

I’m 10 years behind you and wear mine daily. My wrist size is only 6 3/4 and it’s very comfortable. Enjoy the fruits of your labor...Live it up!

Here’s mine at the beach.

Hey, I will resemble that 60 remark in a few months.
I fell young and dress and wear what I wish that makes me smile.
If you like it, get it, enjoy it.

I think the size/Weight issue is way overblown. I wear it frequently and once I’ve had it on for more than five minutes don’t even notice it anymore than any of my other sports watches. And it’s not as big as my Panerai for sure. Get it!!!!

Your age is definitely not a factor for if this is the right watch for you-- and only you will know for sure if it is..

For a while I thought the DSSD would be my first Rolex. I love the look of it... But after I finally saw one in the wild and tried it on it was evident that this model wasn't for me...

Now it wasn't the size of the DSSD. And I am not a small person...
It was the thickness... It is like a hockey puck. I didn't like the way it looked from the side and I didn't like the way it sat on my wrist. It looked odd to me. But that is just my opinion.

I have a Hulk, I have a 25 year old GMT, I have an incoming Batman and I have a DJ2.. But my biggest watch is the titanium Omega Planet Ocean Liquid Metal which was made to compete with the DSSD... It is as big if not bigger but it doesn't sit obnoxiously on the wrist...

These are all one guy's opinion. Yours is the only one that matters. Go try it on and if you love the way it looks and feels then buy it- regardless of your age.

Cheers, GW

I am falling under the spell of this watch. The dial is perfect.
I can’t see why it isn’t a everyday watch? My Panerai and Breitling are they same size and bigger and I use them as everyday watches.

Its an awesome watch. Got the original DSSD in 2008 and wore it as a daily beater for years. It was great in its own right but the bracelet taper always looked a little off and it was a little top heavy. Went to using my APs as daily beaters until I got the updated DSSD D-Blue about a month ago. New bracelet and updated movement make it perfect!

Well I'm just about your twin. :) 7.25" wrist. Been wearing a DS Blue daily for a few years now. Super comfortable and well designed. For me, I've never felt it was to big, heavy or unbalanced. I hardly feel I have it on. It's been a great fit on my wrist. Just make sure you have it properly sized. I removed the divers extension as well.
