Leonard Dews in Blackpool UK!

Does anyone here have experience with them?

With the recent market it seems it’s almost an offense going into London and High street dealers to check out steel models.

Would it be worthwhile to make a visit to more small sized dealers?

I don’t only want a steel Patek i actually am keen to get a women’s nautilus for the wife (so she has no reason to complain about my watches) as well as a complicTion. I like buying new watches but don’t like the service and treatment at the high street dealers! We are spending hard earned money!

No experience of the AD. Are you in Hong Kong or UK resident? UK market is really clamping down on non UK residents getting pieces.

My Aquanaut came from Leonard Dews last November. Lovely little store with exceptional staff.

These days even a women's Nautilus is difficult to get for a new customer. Boodles Manchester/Chester will be able to do you a bundle deal and get a women's Nautilus if you are getting a Patek complication for your self.

I am not sure how successful it would be. I am aware stores like WOS, Boodles and even small stores such as H&I, J&C have a big established non UK resident clientele. I am sure they don't want to loose the non UK resident clientele as those are their best clients and they spend millions.

Further more Patek Salon would happily sell a piece to a non UK resident.

Leonard Dews is a great outfit, however with them only being a singular store. It seems they don't get much movement with pulling extra volume of hot pieces in. The waitlist operates fairly but it could be a few years if you have the patience.

As in Blackpool and a certain radius within the outskirts of the area

Giving priority to local repeat customers in a market where stock is hard to get would seem to be quite sensible. When the market turns, as it surely will, they will be relying on the local buyers. This is why I would always recommend building a relationship with your local AD, they will certainly favour a local buyer.

I bought my first ‘expensive’ watch from Leonard Dews in 1992 and quite a few watches and jewellery items since-the most recent being an Aquanaut for my wife a few months ago.Always had top notch friendly service-they are very well respected in their local area.It may well be worth calling in and having a chat though rather than a phone call-In the current market I bet the phone is ringing all day, calls from the 4 corners of the globe requesting hard to obtain PP pieces!

Crazy isnt it. I tried to order a 7118/1200R-001 for the wife and Patek in Bond Street told me it may take upto 12 months and even thats not guaranteed.

Finally went to another dealer, turned the screw and was promised it before her birthday.

Seriously this madness has to end.

Noted that your 5167 was from 2017

Did Leonard Dews sell it to you pre-owned or NOS? If so did they charge a premium?
