New member from AZ

Longtime WUS member drifted over here after I started looking for a new watch.
I crunched some numbers and after all the flipping/modding/returning/postage fees I have accumulated over the years I could have easily bought a Submariner. I've probably had 20 Seiko's Casios, micro brand divers etc over the years. I do have a nice Omega Seamaster that I like but I've always been drawn to Rolex. My dad gave me his gold Presidential date that he bought on R&R from Vietnam years ago, and it was stolen during a home burglary. So I am here researching a purchase. Gonna hold out for Baselworld and see what Tudor is doing with their Submariner tease. If that isn't what I am after it will be a new date sub.

So sorry to hear about the theft. Hope you can find something here; smart to hold out for Basel if you are looking at a Tudor. Welcome to the forums!

Baselworld should be interesting for Tudor. The more and more I look at the the new Sub, the more I think I should save for that instead. Then I find myself wondering if the 5k price difference is worth it. Either way, I think I would be happy

Hope you reported the stolen watch to Rolex (did you have the serial number?)

If it were ever to go to a Rolex Service Center for service, it would show up as stolen and they would get it back to you.
