Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400 - Authentication

Hello there,

Could you guys please help me check if I got a legit version of the 15400?

I live in Switzerland and bought it on the greymarket. I worry about the back. I saw pictures of an additional "No ...." information that is missing on mine. Also I saw different packings.

Thanks for your help!!!!

They stopped doing this recently (this year). Since your warranty is the new card and not the book the fact that there is no "NoXXXX" on the case fits with the timeframe.

Its a bit scratched up for a watch purchased from an AD in the last few months though. Mine is over 3 years old and the bracelet isnt nearly as scratched. Maybe its just dirty, i cant really tell for sure.

Box and warranty card envelope looks fine and like Tyler said, halfway into this year in the J series they removed the "No. " portion. Congrats on your pick up!

The 15202st I bought in September has no case number but still came with warranty books.
Guessing if that watch has card and not warranty booklet it must be less then 2 months old.
You probably may still find watches with case number and new style card as card dependent on sale date and case number on actual manufacture date.

I be interested to know if anyone has the 2017 Ceramic 44 Noverty without the case number as all photos I’ve see off this watch online have the case number stamped. Maybe AP make the ceramic cases in batches I guess it’s the same case as the older dial watch.

depends on when it was made (the case, not the watch as they make them in batches). AP UK told me they stopped doing it when I asked why one of mine had it and the other didn't. My RG from this year has the case number but my Ti doesnt.

I know they make them in batches as my 2 2017 new release 44's are close to 40,000 apart in serial numbers (J series). The case for my RG was made a long, long time before the Ti case for my specific watches even though i bought both within a day of them being delivered from switzerland and 3 months apart. One is serial J 35,000 (approximately) the other is J 70,000 (approximately)

Looks good to me. You can really tell with the rotor as well as the wheel balance area.

Rosegold like Ceramic would shared the same case as pre 2017 dial. The Ti is new material for 2017 so make sense why was not stamped with case number and probably made long after rose gold case ... very interesting to know with regard new ceramic that should with me very soon :-)

Some early J-Series have it others not anymore. Too complex for AP to keep a chronological separate number by reference. Additionally, movement numbers have also changed now with a letter prefix.
