I’ve seen some conflicting reports on this —

Is it true that the only way to remove links on a two-tone folded jubilee bracelet is to CUT them out?

Only the steel bracelets can be unfolded?

Some say the gold links are soldered but others have suggested there are pins that can be knocked out?

I’m considering a purchase and, with a 7” wrist, would like to maintain the entirety of the bracelet without permanent changes.

If you have to cut them out, how would you put them back together?

Look at the edges... the outer links are folded around flat rods that can be hammered out.

You do know you can adjust the length by using the small springbar in the clasp and the adjusting holes right? My wrist is 7.5 inches and my jubilee bracelet is a full 22 links and it is in the last hole in the clasp. At 7 inches you should have no difficulty getting two or three links into the clasp.

I think due to stretch, the smallest the bracelet could go is 7.5” via the clasp adjustment, so I’ll have to take out a link.

I was under the impression that the “folded” bit on two-tone bracelets was in reference to the steel portion and not the gold, which are soldered links and must be cut.

The jeweler seems to think they’ll need to be cut.

Has anyone actually taken out two-tone folded links without permanent damage to the bracelet?
