Vacheron Overseas Gray

Been meaning to post something a little different. This is my 5 month old VC overseas gray... Im still not taking good pictures but this gives a good idea of the watch in general.

great looking thing. How do you like the strap?

did you consider the bracelet variants also?

Thanks for looking. I actually really like the strap. It has a nice deployment mechanism and feels very comfortable on the wrist. You can only adjust the setting by unscrewing a tiny screw on the inside of the band (easier said than done). I never really looked at bracelet varieties for this watch. I was purposely looking for a strap watch that was a little different.

agreed on the comfort of this strap and the whole thing is very light on the wrist.
I'm very keen on the White dial bracelet version and would probably looking at purchasing the strap as well.

Superb. Did you try it with the supplied rubber band? I just wonder how the gray watch looks like with a black rubber. (Unfortunately changing the bands seems a little complicated so not suprised if one never touches the supplied second band...)

I am seriously considering buying one and weighing pros and cons now:

pro: fabulous brand, right size (little bigger than rolex but smaller than the new large watches on market), unique gray colour strap and gray titanium bezel, simple elegant but sporty dial, rubber strap option

con: price (retail 8300 euro), low resale value (if possible to sell it at all...), need watchmaker to change strap to rubber band, difficult to adjust strap, high maintanance cost (strap costs around 300 euros, regular 3-4 year services might cost 600-700 euros), difficult to remove scratches from titanium bezel

cheers

Most brands seem to either do Dress watches well OR Sports watches well.

Looks like VC has it ALL covered....absolutely magnificent!!!!!!!!

You own one of the Worlds best watches.....you must feel soooooooo good!!!!!!

BIG CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

agreed! I love VC as a brand and I think the Overseas is an attractive range - does anyone care about their non in-house movement in the Overseas range?

Beautiful watch! I was able to try this and the Chrono on at a Vacheron dinner. Really stunning watches. Enjoy!
