See if you can Find the same reference with an original white dial, the depth rating was usually printed in red

Yeah, I ran across some photos of those while doing some research. I also saw some with white textured dials. They look great.

Just wondered - does it have the 18 (chromium content) stamped on the bottom of lug like the similarly cased 6202 t.o.graph of 53/54 Dan - like below.... some do, some don't.... I'm trying to research which models did and why Rolex seemed to feel need to do it?

No, nothing visible on the back of the lugs. However, there is an "18" inside the case-back. That asking price seems ... ambitious. ;-)
