Finding a PAM233…

Hi all, want another travel GMT, and just love the 233 as it ticks all the boxes (had the 320 before but want to go all out on this one). However, my older PAM dealer said he hasn’t had a new shipment of one in forever and will barely discount the (sole) one he has because of it. Anybody else’s dealer saying the same about the 233 being finished? It’s proving to be a major pain trying to find one in new/like-new condition with PAM Guard on it!

As an aside if anybody is thinking of selling theirs or has a link, please hit me up.

I saw one at the AD in Siam Paragon about 2 months ago. If you're in BKK, Thailand. Might wanna drop by to see if it's still available.

So you can get one, but won’t pay the price?

I own the 233 and think it is a great watch and it currently falls into my won't trade or sell box. If the watch does all of that for you, and it does for me, just go buy it before it gets gone. Have the warranty and the pleasure that this model will bring you. Your AD might not budge much on the price but maybe he will load you up on straps and buckles as a give back as opposed to pricing. Never hurts to ask. Good luck and keep us posted.

233 is one of the best PAMs. Take any discount you can get (or a couple free straps?), put in on and enjoy.

I thought the 233 and 270 were discontinued, I don't see it on Panerai's website as part of their current lineup. The 1950 44mm Luminors with the dome crystal are amongst the best looking watches Panerai ever made. If your dealer has one in stock it may be one of the last produced so I would grab it.

PAM 233 is slowly being discontinued and my country Boutique has confirmed its been discontinued. So if you like it and can get it , forget discounts and grab it.

The 233 was discontinued in 2020 and is increasingly hard to come by new or near new.

I would buy it at no discount to retail right now. You are crazy to dick around for a discount. This is one of Panerai's best.

If you don't buy it, I will.

I've always loved the 233. I would go for it if you've got the chance of getting a new one.

Buying mine dot dial Pam233 few years ago is one of the best watch buying decisions I made. Love the piece. Even more so now that's discontinued. 20220530_161612.jpg20220601_180924.jpg20220601_001031.jpg

233 was discontinued about 2 years ago. Should not be THAT difficult to find a clean, used one even WITH pamguard.... Although, you will pay a premium for a newer one, so why not just buy one without it and service as needed with the savings.

They have gone up in price with the market increases and with more limited availability.

Mrs Van D was at the Panerai boutique in Singapore last week picking me up a replacement strap.

My main man there said that the 233 is discontinued, along with the 533 and 372. Others have probably gone too, but I’m only interested in those and would have them in a heartbeat if funds would allow.

Just ordered my first panerai, the PAM233. Was originally thinking about the dot but managed to find a great example from 2017, serviced by AD in 2022 for 7.5k usd. Can’t wait until it arrives! Extremely wide price span on Chrono24, seems to differ 4k which seems very odd.

Bumping this back up after my recent PAM 914 purchase went belly up. Just grabbed a 233, so I believe it was fate the entire time! I managed to find a like new V serial, 2020 purchase date, full set for $7k! Fingers crossed this one is as described, pretty excited!!!
