5205R was mine. Interesting to see a few fellow members getting that one as well for their first dress PP.

5227j was the first dress watch. Replaced it with a 5396r.

First PP in general was a 5170P, but it didn't last long in the collection. A bit too cold, sterile, and sartorially inflexible. Then just added a 3940R and that one will last awhile, I think.

My first Patek was a dress piece a 5227. Fantastic timepiece and still in my line up.

My first Patek dress watch was my first Patek.
Got it in my early days of collecting
The magnificent 3919J

I love it, perfect watch. Because it was small and trends changed I found myself wearing it less and less. Ended up trading it for another Patek which I still regret until today.
Other Pateks that followed but wouldn’t consider dress:
5146G
5170G
5712A
5320G

Superb collection!

If you had to keep only one for the rest of your life, which one would it be? And why?

My first PP was yg Ellipse with Romans, very thin, that was my dad’s… then Aquanaut 5167 steel in 2018, then 5153r 2019, and recently early this year a 7118r

Love them all. PP is the best period.

If I had to keep only one watch then that would be the 5320G
It has everything I need in a watch: day, date, month, moon phase, leap year, day night even center seconds
The design of it I believe is timeless, it will age well and it will be something I can wear when I am older as well as pass on to my son and it will look cool on a younger man.
Plus it is really the only patek grand complication in my collection

Thank you for your answer.

It really resonates to me because I had the same feeling with that "vintage inspired" watch. Also, I have a son and want to pass my collection to him.

Also, I have seen pictures of this watch with superb colored/fun/young straps. It is very adaptable through lifestyle and age.

Take care.

Congrats!!! Superb watch. I have seen it with casual straps and it sublims its daily wearability.

I hope they will release a larger version so I can buy it (My wrist is unfortunately too large for 37mm).

A 3919 which I later sold, hell I don’t get dressed up anymore, and replaced it with my two tone 5080 Neptune. Serves all occasions.

If I am only allowed to keep one PP, the 5320G would be my choice too.
