5235G, I will probably end up selling my Aquanaut for this watch. Just incredible piece.

Same here. I really want it, but not sure it'll work on my wrist (will look too big).

Oh yeah! Couldn’t agree with you more!

My next watch in about 2 years will be this Patek - not sure of the "hate" factor but believe I've only seen one on the forum.

Patek 5135-J, you will be mine one day!

Very biased but this 5296g sector dial is so under appreciated. And I like it that way!

I do not understand the lack of popularity for this model. Especially the white dial. In my opinion it’s the best looking dress watch Patek has in its lineup. By far actually. I think everything about it is perfect from the style of the case, the moon phase and how its set up, where are the date, month and day of the week is located on the dial especially where the brand name is located. Everything is absolutely perfect.

My Aquanaut……back in 2000 :-/

I’m in love with the 5205G-013 nowadays, but something tells me the market will wise up to that one as well.

Nothing to be understood there IMO. It is mostly about looks which is subjective. I could give you a long list of issues I have with the 5205 and why I think it is not a good looking watch but in the end that is just a way to rationalize why my heart says no.

I agree with you definitely looks are subjective. However not many people would say the 5205 wasn’t a awesome looking watch. My only complaint is that the center of the dial comes out of the top of the moon phase on the 24. Other than that it’s sublime. Its one of my favorites because it’s one of the only complications or grande complications Patek has that you can actually read the day of the week, month and date without wearing readers. I’m not saying they don’t have other absolutely stunning dials because they do. All I’m saying is that there may be other stunning looking dials but I can’t personally read them without wearing reading glasses. For me this hobby is more than just looks it also has to be practical. I also very much like the 5396 for the exact same legibility reasons. The 5905 is another good one but I prefer the moon phase.

5235g

Initially it did not go down too well with some Patek collectors. Replaced by the rose gold, black-dialled version that many preferred. But in my opinion the G is more sober and understated and I definitely love this piece.
