Personally I would go for the GMT II ceramic...The 2 are very similar in price and looks!! Just under 12G for the sub and just over 12G for the GMT!! The GMT has the 24Hour 2 timezone feature that the sub doesnt....+ bigger numbers on the bezel if you like that(I do)!!
Otherwise, both have the Maxi dial and hands so its whatever floats your boat!! I have the TT GMT C and LOVE it....My fav and would never part with it!!

PS: the newer sub does have the glidelock buckle but the GMT has an easylink feature as well.....

hey rob
is it possible to get a discount off the gmt since it has been out longer because my ad is asking 12gs for the sub and will not budge on it because its a new release

If you are dealing with Gemoro in West Ed they will not move on the Sub as it is new like you said!!...You might get lucky with a small discount at Sweedish on the sub but again it would be small and most likely get the GST off and thats it!! Depends on a few other factors though as well....If you have cold hard cash to flash infront of them, that works!! Also if you are well known to the dealer(ie:purchased 3 or 4 other watches) they will work with you a bit in my experience....
The GMT is still a big seller and high priced but money better spent In my opinion!! Try both on to see what you like the most then bribe with cash or your first born if needed... I think Sweedish might be your better bet for anything off though.! You see Edmonton is still the least effected city in Canada with the downturn,so the AD's are not hurting here like the rest of North America is.....
Good luck on your purchase!!!
Rob.

My pick would be purely based on appearance, and I'd go for the Sub. The GMT is a handsome watch but I find the bezel a bit too busy for my liking.

Personally, the water resistance delta is totally meaningless. The glidelock would be nice but as others have mentioned the variable link on the GMT-IIC is very nice too. As an owner of a Sub and a GMT-IIC, I'd have to vote for the added features at a potentially lower price. You'll use the second time zone (3rd for some) in the GMT more than a racheting bezel and 1000' depth rating with the Sub.

Good luck. Both obviously great watches.

Agreed, not my new grail however. It is an unbelievably gorgeous watch and has been my grail since I saw my first TT when I was a kid, guess my grail evolved with the design over the years.

TT Black SUB looks sickengly awesome. TT GMT looks too busy with the green hand - it looks better in SS anyway.

I like them both a lot but the numbers on the Sub bezel are a better size to me and more balanced with the maxi dial, and I think the bezel has less of a polished look to it. Also, with the new GMT you loose the 120 click bezel, which to me is a step backwards in functionality - great engineering, but less useful. Plus, Rolex have kept the Sub essentially unchanged which is goodness. But there is no wrong answer between these two.
