I'd want a new one as a daily, just not with the ridiculous emissions tax. Europe is starting to hate turbo diesels.

I drove a family member's defender some time ago, he removed the third muffler, love the grumble/whistle that the 5cyl turbo diesel makes, there's torque forever, I can drive around the block on just the clutch in that thing, try that in a 3cyl 1l Yaris

Also the diesel is far more reliable than the rover V8, defenders are not Toyota's lol.
