Hublot Meca-10 ... looking to purchase

Thoughts on this model, case options and in-house movement? I love the aesthetics as I want a skeleton to add to my collection and would like to get opinions — from owners and non-owners.

I love the brand but I'm not a skeleton watch kind of guy. With that said, the first one is my favorite and the movement is great. You won't find much love for Hublot here, better look on watchprosite, there are a few threads on the Meca10.

I think the Hublots get a strange and often hypocritical hard time (for example being labelled as a copy of the Royal Oak, yet when other brands with more "heritage" release pieces that are carbon copies of other watches they are widely praised/revered).

I believe they offer interesting contemporary styling, that appeals to a younger audience, yet have a more accessible price point than their peers.

I like the brand and the Big Bang/Classic Fusion line in general. That being said I prefer the more subtle offerings and am not a massive skeleton dial fan myself. So I can't offer much insight other than if you like it buy it!

If you want a skeleton I would look a Zenith’s Defy line as a similar option.

I like the watch and if purchased with a significant discount from an AD or pre-owned at 40-50% off retail I could see adding one.

I like it. Hublot gets too much disdain around here imo. Sure, it's not a look for everyone, but I think that much like Panerai or an Offshore having one big bold watch in a collection can spice things up. I prefer the Meca-10 in the Spirit of Big Bang personally, but both are cool watches.
