Icon6 Where would you go from here?

Hi TRF Family,

I wanted to share my collection with you and get your thoughts on where you recommend I go from here. Have I exhausted what Rolex has to offer? Is the next move platinum? I won't be adding anything of that caliber for at least 5 years or so but doesn't hurt to dream.

I spoke with my AD recently and expressed interest in a Pepsi but basically got the response that I was over allocated pieces and they have to go to other clients first. Basically told me "it will be a while" so not sure what to expect there. However, this aside, I have been very happy with this AD, who has been able to get me the below steel pieces at retail.

Submariner 114060
Submariner Kermit 122610LV
Submariner Gold Blue Dial 116618LB
GMT Master II Batman 116710BLNR
Daytona Panda 116500LN
Day Date Champagne Diamond Index 228238

Would love to hear your thoughts

Great suggestion. Is the olive dial the one to get?

You have a great collection. I’d only offer the suggestion to look at other brands.

I dabbled a bit with AP but found them to be very delicate (RO specifically). I have no experience with Patek. Sometimes toy with the idea of a Lange or independent like Journe

I don't think you need to add anything - your collection is perfect and I would love to have all your pieces!

are you set on rolex? something in rose gold if so, day date or daytona maybe? otherwise i think naturally AP is next ... but you mentioned they're too delicate. maybe try again and see how it goes?

Sky Dweller 326935, rhodium dial

I don’t why anything else would be considered when adding to your current collection.

Very nice collection. Really hard to add to this. Maybe a Sky Dweller.

I’d move on and either go independent or somebody like Lange. A Lange 1 would fit in perfectly.

I would look to other brands. It’s a bit bleak when style revolves just around one brands design. Especially when they are all so similar. Otherwise unnecessary but fun collecting. Year of birth models!

How about an air king? It may be easier to get from your AD and it’s still a fantastic watch!

There's more to life than Rolex, perhaps it is time to branch out to other great manufacturers.

Great collection. I would have had the conversation back with the AD that I had spent however much and think the Pepsi should be the next one for me and when could I expect it. If the SA balked, the conversation would be with the Manager. If it was the manager that told you that then you know where you stand and it is time to find more than one source for your watches. Other AD's or the Grey market. With your collection it might not hurt to pay Grey for one of your watches if you got the others at retail. Good luck and let us know how it plays out.

There is more to life than Rolex AP and PP and not every great watch needs to cost five figures. So many great brands out there.

I think your instincts are right to want Pepsi as the next one.

I'd also be tempted to slowly move into PP or AP since you already have a DD.

You’ve got a great Rolex collection.
I’d recommend another brand, look for a real haute horology piece in my opinion

I think an Explorer would be a great addition.

No ceramic bezel, no PCL, no fluted bezel, you have all that covered. The current Explorer is about as perfect as it gets for daily wear.
