1226613lb
Hello Everyone,
I have recently achieved some personal life goals and I wanted to celebrate with buying my favorite Rolex, the Two tone Submariner 126613LB AKA "Bluesy". I have been at the waiting list with my AD here in the DFW area for about 5 months now. I have been offered a Black dial Milgauss but I refused as I'd rather wait for my dream watch. Am I better off buying the next watch they offer in order to get a better standing with the AD in hopes of getting my "Bluesy"? Or should I stick to my guns and keep waiting for the Elusive 126613LB? Any recs are welcomed. Thanks. |

I personally don't think Bluesy is a hard to get piece.
I would just wait it out and stop by your AD to say hi. Don't buy the piece that you are not going to wear! |

Personally, I don't see the point in buying something I don't want for any reason. But we're all different.
One thing I can state with a reasonable degree of certainty is that buying an unwanted item to theoretically strengthen your position in a notional queue makes you the kind of customer that any AD would like to see more of. The 116613LB was not difficult to get, relatively speaking, and from what I've heard the 126613 is no different. |

16613's in any version (newer, older) have never been that difficult to source.
Do not buy what you do not want. Then you most likely will deal with the "dangers" of trying to sell a watch you never wear and not get ripped off. All in all, getting something you do not want is a bad idea. Anyway - AD's often push to sell what they have to get rid of, and forget about what "you really want" after that sale. So money wasted for you, but money in the sales guy's commission.

Why wait for a bluesy? These are readily available many places including trusted greys at very close to retail, especially if you avoid sales tax.
Your AD blows and so does the Milgauss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you want to build a relationship with your AD, I would wait.
If you want the watch right now, I would go with reputable gray dealers. Good luck with your hunt! |

Nowadays all Rolexes seem harder to acquire. This timepiece isn't that hot yet but it isn't ready available or waiting for you in the showcases. You should be able to get it from your AD with a little wait time.

You shouldn't have a hard time finding one, check other local ADs. Don't buy a watch you don't want in hopes to get the one you do. If it is a watch you do like, then by all means, pick it up.

I’ve been waiting for the new Bluesy since release in sept, so 8 months.
Not a big purchase history but I did buy an explorer in 2019. In big cities these like all Rolex models these days are hard to come by. My plan is to wait it out a few more months, if nothing after a year I’ll reassess. |

TT Blue Submariner isn’t difficult to obtain. Keep your eyes on the prize and get what you really want.

Thank you everyone! Great advice, I am going to visit my AD this weekend again for the fourth time ha! And let them know how much I want this watch. The wait is definitely worth it.

There are a few Rolex ADs here. You should visit more than one IMO.

Don’t buy a watch you don’t want. Wait for the one you really want. The Bluesy is THE classic Rolex model and its such a cool watch. I have always loved that model. Hope to own one some day!

You need to go into ADs more regularly, you should not have had to wait that long for a bluesy.

We got the watch! AD called that a used one had come in. I showed up and it was love at first sight. They honored Retail price, and I finally have my bluesy. My patience paid off. I’ll post more pictures later. Thank you everyone.
