Greetings from Latvia
Hi everyone!
A watch enthusiast has finally joined a watch forum. Currently don't own a Rolex yet. I currently have a Seiko on my wrist. Little about me. Well, I am a translator/interpreter by training. I love biographies and watch books. Currently reading Caesar's biography, after that I plan to read A Grand Complication and Time Tamed. Since I am into biograhies then George Daniel's "All in Good Time" is a favourite of mine, also I highly recommend "Mister Swatch" by Jutg Wegelin about Nicolas Hayek (two high recommended watch biographies). And I am slowly reading Watchmaking by George Daniels which was gifter to me by my girlfriend. If you know other watch biographies, please, share (Longitude by Dava Sobel is great as well). Also... just listened to a Hodinkee podcast where the guest was Jenni Elle, and she mentioned a book about the erotic watch genre. Does anyone know about which book is she talking about? Regarding watches, currently slowly saving for my first big watch, next year is my 30th birthday so it would be great to gift myself something trully special. Glad to be hear. |
