Air King 116900
Explorer II 16570

Not very popular with a strong following. Both fantastic references.

Love the air king. Only watch Rolex ever made with the green Rolex writing and gold crown logo. Love the dial, which tends to be the factor most people don’t like. It’s a great watch nice weight to it, and goes with pretty much anything. Also, far as Rolex go it’s very cheap for a sports model, and fairly easy to obtain!

Just talked myself into wearing this tomorrow lol.

Agreed. Same when I bought mine in 2014. It was so unpopular, you could get a discount off MSRP

the Air King * IN PERSON * is AWESOME.

in pics and on the internet it's strange, but I finally tried one on, and it's a very unique, super comfortable, and very un apologetic watch, and has really cool history in the BloodHound SSC land speed record.

I kind of like the older air kings, if they fall into that category.

For me all Milgauss variations are my favorite, would love to add a white dial at some point. I think the fact that it is generally not as popular allowed me the fortunate opportunity to pick one up with a reasonable wait time new from my AD as my first. I don’t know if I would ever purchase one, but the Yachtmaster is under rated to some extent.

Add my name to the list for the white Milgauss--a very underrated watch.

I would venture that the rarity of the platinum Daytona is perhaps due to the distribution of wealth worldwide?

I would have to say the Rolex OP date.

I guess its due to the small 34mm size in today's maxi case era!!!!

Nice!

Currently going through the same situation, I love the Z-Blue and trying to start a relationship with a new AD with no prior purchase history to get hold of one. Was told they hadn't had one in store for the past 12 months! How long was your wait in the end with your AD if you don't mind me asking?

Rarely seen in AD Windows, trades above retail and highly rated by those who try it on.

It irks pseudo-traditionalists, especially the ones who think they’ll saturation dive one day and when they do they’ll make sure they’re wearing a full SS watch. Right.
