I've got the itch for a new Rolex. Good or bad there's no cream for this.

So I'm thinking blue dial Oyster Perpetual ( kinda the replacement for the Air King.)

I've been to ADs and greys and the Rolex website. I've seen the blue, the "grape", the rhodium and some other indescribable color. I want the blue. I want the 39 mm.

I've only seen the new one in two versions of stick dial and a I think smaller 36 mm in Romans, but not in blue.

So my question is does anybody know if the 39 mm comes in blue and in Romans or Arabic dial? Either of those would scratch my itch.

The 34 and the 36 have the blue 3-6-9. I've only seen roman's in the 31.

Unfortunately 39 only available in sticks. But, who knows, that may change this coming Baselworld

Exactly what I was thinking^^^^. I can't believe they aren't going to add dial options to the 39mm OP next week.

Interesting thread, as I have been thinking about getting my first non-tool Rolex and looking at OPs, AKs, and DJs and Ds.

I personally love the AK. Having said that, unless you have owned watches that are 34 mm, it would probably be best to take one of the other routes.

The 36mm or 39mm OP would probably be where you need to start. The 34mm OP/AK is just fine and I own one myself. Nothing wrong with them at all, and loads more history.

I want the size that was characteristic of so many Rolex watches in the '60s. I just don't know if it was 34mm or 36mm. Probably 34mm.

Definitely 34mm. The 114200 can be had for a good price on the secondary market and you get the size with all of the modern rolex 6 digit features

34mm. I'll make a mental note.

The 114200 has the cal. 3130. Same as my 14060m. That's a problem. I'm trying to rationalize the purchase of a watch I really don't need by arguing (with myself) that it has a different calibre from what I have. So, I'm kinda looking for something at least a little different.

Or maybe a Date or DateJust. What size were they?
