Ok, seen them frozen in a block of ice. Seen them boiled in water. What would happen if you set fire to one? I'm thinking a cremation maybe...would the rolex be in the ashes still ticking away? And no, I'm not going to volunteer to find out!

Not sure about that, but the world famous Red Adair who became a legend for his Oil Rig fire blow outs, used to wear his Rolex on the job. The incinerating heat from the flames had absolutely no affect on his Rolex.

In fact, there is a very famous ad featuring Red Adair and his gold DD.

It went wrong when I try that on one of my DateJust´s.

I start with my cyclop remover kit.

Pull it up in my full size Bergeon case holder.

And start thr work.

Damn, Rolex have quality glue so I have to warm it up a bit.

Now I hope it will come off.

Ouups, not so good.

What do you think, did I have to change crystal? Or can it
be polished?

Try a Scotch Brite pad with a little toothpaste on it. . It should work.

To me looks more like you have to replace the saphire,as looks that the flames got into it a bit deep.
Hope you will find a way to fix it soon and tell us how you did it and post more photos.Sorry for you man,the cyclop after all is not bad.

I take it plexi-glass has a lower melting point then sapphire glass?
