Interesting article confirming what I have thought, the overall watch industry is struggling. Many firms pulled out of Basel to save cash not because of the virus although now the virus makes a good public reason. The online hype over the hot SS sports models from a few brands distorts the true picture of the industry which is years of over-production and relentless price increases resulting in lots of product with no buyers and very little value retention.

My AD said Patek will hold an event in NYC on April 2 to presumably present the new models.

sorry I’m not sure it’s the same date but I’ve just visited my AD today and they told me watches will be on display in London and lots of the brands are doing the same.
