Yes, Just a cheapo I got from Walmart to keep my beer cold while I lounge on the beach all (last) summer and fall. It worked perfectly for that purpose.

I got tired of the hard coolers on the back seat so I picked up an RTIC 30. It does keep the ice much longer as well.

That does look the same size as mine which is 15w X13h X12d. Soft Pack 3030 quarts capacity I guess.

We’ve got one and love it. I prefer it to the hard side we have.

We use soft coolers only, just more convenient. One is Tommy Bahama and the other are generic coolers with different branding (Crown Royal, Lilly Pulitzer, and my work). All are equally sufficient for our needs and we haven’t bought anything fancier. But our goals for the cooler aren’t very ambitious lol.

I bought a Yeti just this summer. I dithered between the soft and the hard but went for the standard hard cooler (45 size).

IMHO it’s not significantly better than a cheap Coleman or Igloo cooler, for how we use it (which is for beer mostly). YMMV, but I don’t think they’re worth the money

A few years ago I got a soft Yeti (not like the OP's, less square, more messenger bag-like) free with purchase of a new Chevy. I have more coolers than I need, since I don't camp (unless it's at a Four Seasons) or go to the beach (unless it's a mandatory work conference). I was totally shocked when I sold it on eBay for over $200. OMG. For a cooler?

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm wearing a watch that doesn't tell time as accurately as a quartz Timex and I paid how much?

Too funny Michael. Perhaps I’ll put mine up for sale

As you said it really does depend on how you use these things. If your just using a cooler for the day then the cheapest of coolers will do you just fine. However if your looking for something for much longer with the convenience of not having to get more ice then paying a bit more would make more sense. Of course the smaller the cooler even then it's not going to last as long as a much larger cooler with even more ice in it.

Agreed, I can see if you're a camper or similar and you aren't in and out of the cooler multiple times an hour it makes sense.

I picked up one over the summer that has the magnetic close, and it functions like an over the shoulder bag. Perfect for taking the kids to the beach, park, etc. with plenty of food/drink in it.

We've also left it out at parties before with beverages - although the magnetic top tends to just confuse people.

I have the biggest 1st gen of the Yeti soft cooler and I think they are ok, but the only reason I have it is because my wife won it in a raffle at her work for $5. I would never spend that kind of money on a ice chest or soft cooler

I had the original Hopper 20 bag which has a 3yr warranty. Week this year has the 4th yr and a tooth broke on the zipper. I called them knowing it was out of warranty just to see if they had any suggestions to fix it. They sure did, sent me a free shipped label to send it back and gave me about 5 different ones to pick as a replacement. Within probably 10 days I had a new $300 cooler absolutely free with included shipping both ways. Like Rolex, you can become pretty Brand Loyal
