Ive been stacking gold bullion for years, just look at what gold does after a stock market crash. Usually doubles in price so yes now is the time to buy even though its went up a lot this year.
We are headed for a big crash I expect in the next 12 /18 months. Gold is what you want.

I would double check thats real if you bought it significantly under spot. Bullion dealers in the uk right now are paying upto 101% of spot for bullion. Even in gold slumps a bullion dealer always pays 98% of spot. So if golds getting sold cheap it’s stolen or fake.

I always think the time to buy is after everyone has sold and the time to sell is when everyone is buying. The last time gold did this they were predicting $3,000 or more and it just went back down again.

Yeah, it’s been like that for the last few months. I’m lucky I haven’t had to panic buy. Regardless, for the purpose, it’s a good buy.

Nice bars everyone..........I am a peon stacker, little silver and a little gold. Sold off some of my sportscards to purchase bullion. Nothing wrong with asset allocation.

How easy is it to liquidate Platinum? My best friend owns a pawn shop & jewelry store & said that he would buy it, however you really don't hear about it & it seems to me that it would be more difficult to sell than gold or silver, which is easy pretty much anywhere in the world.

Not a criticism, genuinely curious, as I wouldn't mind adding some to my PM collection "for fun". But fun aside, I'm focused on liquidity for potential desperate times; can it be turned into cash (near spot) within 24hrs like gold or silver?

Going to get flamed for this. But i think gold is undervalued by at least 10x. And i think the amount of gold we have on earth may be less than we think.

Regardless of its abundance, I don’t think there’s any question that it’s undervalued. If that’s flameworthy, I guess we’ll burn together, brother.

I would say, pretty easy. Like you though, I have it mostly for the fun of it.

I do wish I would have bought a bunch of paladium a couple years ago!

Gold market is not stable so I can't predict what happens next, I also think I will spend more due to Jewelry Premiums which are high and if I'll ever consider jewelry I'd go for Silvers

Howdy,

All of the gold I own is from the Royal Bank of Eppinger in Dearborn, Michigan.

Obviously no one wants to be in devaluating Dollars, Yen, Euro etc. for more than a few days/weeks. Currencies are very unstable, and guaranteed to suffer from double-digit long-term losses. The velocity of currency is a BIG loser too.

Plenty of legit places on line. Do a search and check out the ones that start with A, P, G, J...

Avoid buying bars from private parties - too many fakes...

APmex and JM seem to come highly recommend. Never used either.

Even though the case for gold is pretty clear right now (inflation), I don’t think you buy gold on strength. But if you’re just picking some up to have as a small hedge and for fun then heck yeah.

Have used Apmex in the past excellent service. Been pondering for a while if I should add more silver/gold to my stash.

Love metals! as an investment (traded regularly) i believe there may be better ones.. but as buy and hold, there will be market corrections at some point for all that printing...
