Rolex GMT $1000 more

So rolex raised the prices on the GMT $1000 but only $200-$400 on other models.

Glad I got my Pepsi in 2019 for $9,250.

Re: Explorer, for me this absolutely makes me favor the OP 36 over the Explorer now. The two are commonly compared, and I cannot see a logical reason to choose the 36 Explorer over the 36 OP. The difference now is $1,400, $5,800 for the OP vs. $7,200 for the Explorer.

Doesn't really matter what retail pricing is since only a select few seem to get them at that pricing.
As I've said in the past, wish they would double the price on a steel daytona so I can say I paid retail.

Rolex GMT $1000 more

What was OF Daytona before? ~$28.7?
Increase seems marginal for this one

10% rise is actually a bit low by about 2% or so, yet VERY acceptable.

Gentlemen, what do you expect when central banks freely 'print' tens of trillions in currency? Let us all make believe Apple released 10,000,000,000,000 more stock items, what would happen to the price of said stock? Well, that's what central banks did in 2021 and expect about the same in 2022.

It's not transitory, so good luck out there.

Exactly. Price increases are irrelevant for all but VVVPs.

Its about time they raised prices. Everyone keeps saying this is one way to change the demand supply imbalance. Maybe they didn't raise it enough since the grey market keeps eating their lunch.

Not sure if grey dealer won’t follow suit, so it remains to be seen. For now, we can only hope that we will get the call.

New retails do not matter one bit until they actually produce enough it is all about what the gray prices are since they are the ones to get them all brand new.

Raise them 30% for all I care. Maybe then the margins will be too thin for gray and the common folk can go back to walking in and buying what you like and can try on.

I’ve seen some on the forum who are glad the prices are increased and wishing it were even more. Why is that? Just wishing to push more people out of the hobby?

Anyone concerned with a several thousand dollar increase for a Rolex, shouldn't be buying a Rolex.
