Another “Is This Too Big...” Question

Firstly, forgive me. But it is what it is.

I’ve got a wee little wrist that just doesn’t match my watch tastes. I currently wear a SubC that *just* fits my wrist, and I’m looking to get another watch to celebrate a potential milestone soon. I’ve been considering smaller watches, but I just really want a Speedy in my collection - and would prefer the Pro to a Reduced. I’ve tried the FOIS, but actually the Pro, with its twisted lugs, wears smaller on me.

One other note: I’d likely wear the Speedy in leather most of the time, since I really like that look best - and it helps with a lot of the size since that bracelet sticks out so much.

Anyways, I feel like the Speedy does just fit - similar to my Sub, but I was interested in the opinions of strangers as well!

And of course, some photos. I’ve attached one of my daily wearer Sub and the FOIS for reference too.

go for it..and buy a strap...I have 6.5" wrist and the speedy wears big on bracelet but I (like you) like it on a strap and it definitely wears smaller...
congrats in advance...

Looks like a good fit to me, definitely would not rule it out as too big.

I think it looks good and actually liked it better on the bracelet than the leather strap pic.

Side note, what flavor Audi you driving?

Just an A3. Had an S4 and loved every second of it. But was able to sell it for a profit and downsized a bit.

It's perfect. For leather, I really enjoy the current manufacturer's equipment, which is black alligator tapering to 16mm at the maker's deployant clasp

You made money selling an S4?

I picked it up very slightly used from a friend of a friend at an outrageously low price. Was able to sell it for more than I bought it - even after enjoying it for quite some time.

I think it looks great and not to big. Pick up a few straps to go with the bracelet and you are set.

Cool, I just traded my A6 in for an A7.

I love Audis - so much car for the money very reliable provided you actually do the required maintenance.

I feel like with the less weight and same engine the A3 should still be a joy to drive, and I really like the all roof sunroof.

Someday I'd like to try the RS3; 0-60 in like 3.5 I think!

I have small wrists as well and at first my Omega seemed huge on me but after a while I have gotten used to it. I have a smaller Tudor on a leather strap and when I put it on now it seems too small.

Truthfully? It looks way too big. What's important is how you feel it looks. You are getting it for how you like it. Many people will see it and think, "Way too big" but that is hopefully not why you are buying it for. I have 8 3/8 inch wrists so 40 mm and smaller look ridiculous (too me) on my wrist. Depends what you are getting it for. Doesn't matter to anyone but you.

Considering wrist shots are always distorted and watches appear bigger than really are, looks great on you.
Wear what makes you happy.

The FOIS only measures smaller because it lacks crown guards. Face and bezel are same size diameter as the Pro. The bracelet looks borderline but OK, the strap Speedy looks a tad too big. The FOIS does have a 19mm vs 20mm band lug gap and bracelets can be found for it. It takes the same bracelet as the Speedmaster Racing line.
