Lovely. I would have buffed the PCLs. But that's just me.

Thanks. Cool collage. I should add that Dallas RSC turnaround was fast and they had good communication in terms of receipt, estimate, shipping, etc. The whole process was approx 4 weeks door to door and cost $810 total including overnight return shipping.

I had a very similar experience at RSC with my 2008 LN. Got it back after daily wear between myself and my dad and it looks as good as new to me. It's also running perfectly. Just wanted to echo OP's experience at Dallas RSC with the same services provided on an identical reference from the same era.

Same here. I just had mine serviced about this time last year. I think next service I'll skip the case polish and just have the bracelet refinished during service. I love these green handed GMTs.

I asked for just the bracelet to be refinished on my 116710LN (2007) when I had it serviced for the first time last year. RSC did a great job, as I think they have also done with the OPs watch

Just to close on this, my OCD got the better of me and I asked Rolliworks to restore a crisp edge to the case after the RSC service. Very happy with the results.

To be fair, RSC did a good job, even a very good job, nothing against them. The slightly rounded edges were in fact hard to photograph and probably not an issue for most.

Anyway, edge restored:

Those polished lugs look horrible especially being that they’re from RSC. Completely changed the shape of them. This was the reason I sold my first blnr as well, I couldn’t get over how different it looked compared to how it used to be. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do now except to wear it and enjoy (if you can).

I can see how some of the crispness of the edges has been slightly compromised but nice work overall. Looks great!

Looks good! How much additionally on top of the RSC service did you have to Shell out to get it to your desired state?

I don't want to quote the cost publicly but this particular job was minimal price wise. Here are another couple pics:

It looks fantastic. Do you know if Rolliworks had to completely disassemble the watch to sharpen the case edges like that or was it accomplished just by removing the bezel?

The watch looked great from the RSC imo. Most would have never noticed any softening edges. To be honest, if I wasn’t a member on this forum I wouldn’t have noticed a difference either lol.

But I can definitely see a difference after Rolliworks touched it up.

I never understood why an old sports watch shouldn't have scratches and look like an old sports watch.

I actually PREFER my old Rolex watches with scratches. I just recently bought a pristine 16610 and it looks like new. It was lightly polished by the RSC (luckily they haven't touched the chamfer on the lugs) but if I would have preferred it with all those original battle scars.

Scars are beautiful on a steel sports watch. I understand that they don't necessarily look good on a watch like the Yacht-Master or DateJust.

And besides... on 5-digit steel sports like Sub and Dweller you can't even SEE the scratches unless you look really close. So what's the point?

Your watch looks good though. New GMT with polished middle links is not anymore 100% rugged sports watch, imho. It's a beautiful watch though.

Bob, nice GMT, it looks great.

And nice Platinum Daytona. I just saw a guy at lunch here in SF wearing that same Platinum Daytona. If that was you, I admire your taste in footwear. :)

It's hard to get across in photos. I probably should have done a video because it's more about light reflection more than anything else.

I'm ready for another 11 years of scratches now! Cheers.
