Incoming... dilemna!!??!!

Hi

I am a new member here, but well versed in the Rolex World. I have had many pieces over the years (on a one in one out policy mostly)

I daily a Tudor Chrono Heritage, and had a 116518 (leather model) for several years until I sold it off for financial reasons a few months back. Since then I picked up a 126333.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to afford a new SS Rolex, which is likely the GMT-C LN (which I will daily). Or I could sell the DJ41 and get back into a PM piece with the funds I have.

Do you guys think I should go for the GMT and DJ41 collection (sell the Tudor) or keep daily wearing the Tudor and pick up a PM watch such as 116655 or 116515?

Thank in advance for any opinions!

GMT-C LN is a great daily wearer. Are you going to daily the pm if you chose that direction?

How do you go from desperately need money to the point where you’re selling off your possessions and then a few months later have $20-$30k to blow on a watch?
Are you a professional gambler??

Everyone's perspective will be different. For me it makes the most sense to invest in the watch that I'm going to enjoy the most on a daily basis.

It sounds like you enjoy the idea of wearing the GMT daily and that would trump the Tudor Chrono you're currently wearing daily.

I assume you'd then keep the DJ41 tucked away for dressier occasions. If you went the other direction with a PM piece would it just be tucked away the majority of the time?

I'd say just ask yourself what you're going to wear and enjoy the most and go from there. Just my .02 - they all sounds like nice watches though.

With your choices I would go for the GMT + DJ

If it were me, I would go for PM, but it would be a YG or WG DD

Live smart, buy smart. Why go from money issues to blowing 30k on watch... How about buy an LN enjoy it and store extra cash for a rainy day. Besides the LN GMT will hold value or increases you won't loose on it.

...the plot thickens!

HA, but seriously, proper bankroll management should be preached if he is. You can't swing from negative to $30k in a month and think everything is going to go your way forever.

I was thinking the same exact thing. I couldn’t resist but to judge immediately but then reminded myself that life has its up and downs.

Nobody said I was desperate, I think it came out the wrong way. I sold it as I was offered quite a bit more than I paid for it so I took the money and got a DJ41 and stashed the rest.

My new dilemma is because I can add more to my "toy fund" and get a nice condition GMT-C LN or sell the DJ41 and go ahead with a PM piece.

I am sure it will be used on nights out, weekends etc. just like my DJ41 is used (let's say 2 times per week, and the Tudor will be worn to work)
