This is Rolex: DD President. The Sub may be the most recognizable watch in the world, but when I think of Rolex in the 60s Lyndon Johnson wearing a DD pops into my head.

If I could have only one, and cost was no object: A NOS Bakelite 6542. Can you even imagine?

If I could only have one in my current state: 114270. Understated, great heritage, goes with everything. Just a perfect piece.

Kermit. I love the maxi dial and bigger hands, yet still have the classic case size. Fits great on my small wrist.

My favorite Rolex though... Daytona C white dial of course

Yes, this is my “grail” watch. The chronograph is a complication that is not available on any other model. And the White Dial is perfect.

The white gold Daytona on oysterflex for me and a close second would be the rose gold YM on oysterflex

For me the 16710 does everything. If I could only have one watch, that would be it without question.

And with the Glidelock, it's always a good fit.

Different criterion entirely. I think the most "Rolex-like" Rolex is a TT DJ41, champagne stick dial on Jubilee. Great watch I wouldn't mind owning, but if only picking one, I wouldn't choose it over the Sub.

I don't think a poll would work well in this instance, because you're asking an open-ended question. Polls require you to provide a list of options for people to choose from. I guarantee you can't foresee all the possible choices members will provide, even if you could guess the most common responses.

Completely agree

This. The quintessential Rolex with the most useful complication suitable for all occasions and now considered "vintage". IMHO.

It has to be the WG Daytona on oysterflex (116519LN). Yummy.

Yellow gold bluesy when they put a 3235 inside but I’m white so wouldn’t suit me as well as other darker skin tones. Happy with my SS for now and if I have to, for ever.
