Critique my 3-watch collection

1. Which watch looks best on my wrist?
2. How would you rank the 3 watches in terms of your preference?

Any other comments welcome, including on the collection in general:)

What’s not to love? Guess you could use a diver

They look great. But I would replace a chrono for a diver. Maybe the VC for a nautilus

I really like your 3-watch collection but would not get any of the 3 pieces myself. A little weird I know but I just don't want any GMT or travel time piece and I'd miss the date on the Daytona which I like a lot apart from that. The VC looks best on you in my view, the Daytona comes next, the Pepsi last.

That's perfection! Honestly, what's there to critique about?

I really don’t have anything to critique here.

The only question is do you need two chronographs? This second generation overseas could be substituted for a third generation VC three hand model with the blue face. The third generation has a special mechanism for inter-changing the bracelet for rubber or crocodile strap. It would cover a sport watch and a dress watch. It’s water resistant to 150 m.

A diver would be nice such as the Tudor Pelagos. Great diver at a great price. 500 m water resistance in titanium.

But as is, your collection is great.

I'd trade in the VC chrono for a VC gen 3 brown dial, date only overseas. As the person above me said, the gen 3 overseas is highly versatile by allowing you the ability to easily swap in rubber or leather straps instead of the bracelet.

Great collection either way. Pepsi looks best on your wrist.

I get that this is a Rolex Forum and you have two very desirable watches from the Crown but the VC is the one that rings my bell. It is at a whole different level in watch making. With that said the desirability of the VC, at best, is limited to collectors who know what it is and appreciate it. The Daytona-C white dial could be the most sought after Rolex ever and most assuredly of our generation. The Pepsi is hot and the Jubilee bracelet is a nice touch from the Rolex. I would not get rid of anything and would add a diver as earlier suggested. The obviously choice would be the Hulk for the green, but, I think you could have some fun from Omega, Doxa and even the new line-up of divers from Grand Seiko.

Wonderful collection Roger.

My order of preference doesn’t matter, as they all look fantastic on you. That’s said, you could add a Rolex diver into the mix. One and done

Thank you for all the thoughtful feedback. This forum is awesome. My own view...

I want to keep to a 3-watch collection.

Overall, part of the thinking was simply to get the 3 watches on the market that I liked the most. I do like the way these watches complement each other - dial colors, sizes within my sweet spot, bracelets, and even bezels.

The Vacheron is by far my favorite of the three. I only like stainless steel sports watches on stainless steel bracelets.

Wrt divers, I do love the blue dialed YM1 and have come very close to buying that in the past. But it would mean parting with the Daytona and then having 2 blue dialed watches. So a bit of a dilemma.

Your VC is the only haute horological piece in your collection and no Rolex can ever compare.

Nothing to critique, only admiration on a fantastic trio. On your wrist I would rank them as:

1) Daytona
2) VC
3) Pepsi

On your wrist:

1. VC
2. Pepsi
3. Daytona

As also mentioned in one of the replies, I would consider replacing the VC with the Gen 3 simple date in blue. Great collection nonetheless!

Daytona wears the best, if you want to round out your collection, I’d say a YG sub.

All three are great pieces but the VC is the only one I personally wouldn't want in my collection. I'd personally probably get rid of the VC and add either a dress watch (probably a Lange or maybe a VC) or a Rolex Submariner (probably a no date or an LV). But if the VC is your favorite and you only like steel sports watches, keep them all and add one of the above Rolex Submariners.

That’s an incredible trio. Well done! I think the VC looks the best on you but not by much. They all suit you very nicely.

Great trio! I believe the VC looks best on your wrist. I would definitely look at a watch on a strap for your next watch. Perhaps the JLC 42mm, Polaris or Omega Speedmaster.

If it were up to me and had to limit it to three with your collection as starting point, i would get a diver.

So i would either change the VC to a Submariner (to keep it a rolex trio)

Or change the Daytona to a Seiko SLA025 or Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

Great collection, perfect!

You have the standard hot-pieces from Rolex and one stand-out VC chrono that is probably the best version so far with big date and blue dial. VC made a big mistake getting rid of the big date window with their in-house movement.

3 great watches but IMO you're missing a PM watch on leather

Looks great. The two Rolex can take any type of wear and keep the VC for more casual or dress

I’m biased here, but out of these three I really like the Vacheron. Don’t get me wrong, of course the other two are great timepieces as well. If it was me, I would sell/trade the Pepsi for a PM/dressier watch. But obviously this is very personal. :)

Cheers,
Joe
