Looks good, where we are at today with the inventory can’t buy a Daytona buy a speedmaster instead.

The strap looks good but get that oem snoopy strap. I have the blue and white version for my aqua terra and love it.

Took a whooping 4 minutes before the all mighty “wrong forum” shows up...

To the OP; Looks cool. Great timepiece you’ve got there. A classic for sure.

Cheers,
Joe

Big fan myself, especially of the straight lug 39.8mm case

My list Daytona just keeps getting delayed

Joy

So I bought these for a similar price

The snoopy strap is quite hard to get in 19mm unless I cram a 20mm in there! The snoopy prices are creeping up Daytona style now aswell!

From what I heard Omega has been selling lots Speedmasters, some of them are very hot such as the 50th Apollo XII Anv. limited edition, I was told they were sold out almost immediately from the local AD.

They should be, the Speedmaster is a fantastic watch and at down to earth pricing. If the newer Co-axials were not so damn big I would absolutely love to wear one.

I picked up the Apollo11 too - last week

They told me it was completely sold out too.

The list at my AD was 4x the allocation (in case of fall out) and is closed but people phone every day to get added. Unlike the Daytona it won’t be produced in any more number.

Great watch. Got to admire how Omega still sell (and never stopped) selling the classic Speedmaster. imagine if you could still buy a new four digit plexiglass sub or five digit 16610?

I prefer it to the Daytona. For real. Better history and more legible.

Great watch and strap.

It’s not Daytona or Speedy......it’s “and”.

Congrats on picking that up. I always thought that Omega limited editions were limited to how many they could sell. Nice to hear that they are actually limiting the limited.

I've been tempted to get another Speedy (had one years ago when they had the garbage ETA movements) but just can't pull the trigger. Threads like this have me second-guessing that decision.

Maybe I'll head out to the mall next week...

Thank you

The 321 movement is coming back. Possibly this year, probably next.

Should be a very interesting steel 321.

If you really want a Daytona, bite the bullet and do it.

I prefer the speedy. I far prefer the speedy.

beautiful watch ! i really would like to get one and try call it quits! remember learning about this in our horology classes when i worked with Cartier and i fell in love with it.

Personal opinion though, i actually like the speedmaster much more than the daytona but hey thats just my personal liking =D

I have owned all of the Daytona's, in every metal and prefer the Speed Master's. That is taking into account all factors but what sinks the Daytona for me is the size, 38.5, and all the hype. To each their own.
