Rolex disclosure on website

So, if you click on the little "i" icon that is next to the MSRP of a model (i did on the HULK) you get this little disclosure:

"Models availability
All Rolex watches are assembled by hand with utmost care to ensure exceptional quality. It is natural that such high standards should restrict our production capacity.

Rolex makes regular deliveries to the official distribution network. However, due to high demand, the availability of certain models may be limited.

Official Rolex Retailers are at your service should you need any advice. Only they are authorized to sell new Rolex watches, and independently manage the allocation and sales to their customers."

Just sharing, nothing insightful probably.

I thought that’s what the last paragraph says.

Why do people pretend this doesn't happen in any other "exclusive" industry

Grey market never seemed to bother people when it meant every watch bar the Daytona sold for a good discount.

The actions of some ADs can be perfectly balanced by the actions of some buyers. The majority of watches are sold through the correct channels to the end consumer.

Because many people like to whine when it suites them.

Official Rolex Retailers are at your service should you need any advice. Only they are authorized to sell new Rolex watches, and independently manage the allocation and sales to their customers - the used watch reseller. You are expected to contact the used watch reseller to purchase a Rolex watch. Please contact the nearest Rolex Retailer to find out which used watch reseller should have the Rolex watch you are interest in.
Hope this helps.

Simple .. if I am interested in a certain reference and the AD has it in stock or can deliver in the future ,we do business. If not ...too bad .

Rolex states that the AD decides allocation to customers. If caught grey selling directly ,they run the risk to lose their license .

I don't buy Grey , did once buy used but the deal fell through(Bracelet was from an older model ) I also do not use independent watch makers for Rolex service (This will depend where you are in the world). In my whole colection, only one has gone to RSC so far (rebrush the reason) The rest just keeps on ticking perfectly .

I think there are too many dogs chasing the same bone and do they chase the bone because it yummy or just because there is instant money to be made ?

Most ADs I have dealt with I have found to be excellent.
No funny stuff from their side like bundling and package deals .
I have found them honest regarding promises made and waiting times.

I was once told by an AD that Rolex sends watches by name of customer on waiting list. When it arrives they contact the customer and if it doesn’t sell within 5 days then it goes back to Rolex for re allocation.
That can’t be true!

It's good that their production is restricted to millions of watches a year!

All watches are assembled by hand ! There isn't a robot made that could assemble a watch. No way a robot has the dexterity.
