Complete the trio: advice please

Hi all,

I currently have an 214270 Explorer, and a 2500 Omega Planet Ocean. The planet ocean is mainly worn on either an OEM rubber strap, OEM fabric “snoopy” strap, or an OEM nato. The Explorer is worn on the bracelet, however I have a brown alligator strap arriving soon from Equus to switch it up a bit.

Anyway, to my question: I am currently thinking about getting a third watch, and was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions for this, (mainly to act as food for thought for myself).

I am thinking about either a GMT or Chronograph type of watch, from any manufacturer. I quite like the new grand Seiko GMT quartz model, or perhaps a polar EXP 2. Unfortunately I have neither the finances nor AD relationship to gain a Pepsi / Daytona or precious metal.

So, any suggestions please?

Tudor Black Bay GMT. It will give you the GMT you need. Not as hard to get as the Rolex GMT. Adds color to your collection. It's a winner!

Yeah, hard to argue with jrs on that advice. If your budget allows Panerai makes some nice GMT’s that are in the $3K - 5K range on the used market. Oris or Ball may have something of interest, but you’re better off with the Tudor.

How about IWC Ingenieur chrono, or a Tudor chrono

Or ADD the 16710? No need to delete the PO and Explorer....

Nice collection so far!
How about a IWC Chrono or a white dial DJ? Would fit nicely with the two others.

Do you want something dressier to compliment these two, if so a CHNR would fulfil the GMT need and look a million dollars on your wrist. Maybe a bit of a wait but not stupid like the BLRO.

Even though a dressier watch comes to mind I do like the polar 42mm . The white dial and the increased popularity of that watch you can’t go wrong. Good luck!

You don't need an AD relationship to add a 16710 to your beautiful collection. If it is beyond your current budget, a Tudor GMT perhaps? Grand Seiko GMT will also be a good addition, but with your explorer already, it might be similar looking case/bezel and not give you the variety.

Thanks for all suggestions so far, they definitely give me something to think about. I think a different coloured dial/bezel may be the best option for me.

I will be looking to add to my collection (rather than sell them both to gain one watch), as both watches hold great sentimental value to me.

On top of all suggestions so far I have looked at an OP39 white dial and the new omega SMP300 (blue dial, but the new white dial/black bezel model that comes out in November looks interesting). Decisions decisions......
