Alternate straps for AP 15400 Stainless Steel

Guys, from what I heard, AP 15400 in steel can't have a rubber strap replacement. But on Instagram, I have seen some AP 15400 in alternative strap so I was wondering if you could have like a rubber strap.
I saw the APbands website but is it legit?

You can buy the rubber strap from AP directly or APbands but they dont carry rubber, instead they have a nylon water resistant.

I provided the info only a matter of days ago on the part numbers needing to be asked for – have a look through my posts.
You only need to then speak with APSC in Clearwater, Florida, and they’ll advise on the correct straps applicable.
The blue rubber and croc comes from the Tribute to Italy Ltd Ed model. The black and grey rubber have been made for something else, presumably.

Im in the process of putting together a leather strap for my 15400ST, the way that I see it is the convenience of having 1 watch with 2 looks, it takes about 5mins to swap from one to the other and all set. For example for a suit I would preffer the leather strap over the bracelet, just a matter of taste.

There have been a few threads with some amazing pictures of the finished product. I must say it looks fantastic. Post some pics when you're done!

Weiss, here is my SS Openworked on an original AP black gator on tang buckle. It is nice to be able to switch back and forth between the bracelet and the strap.

I'm just wondering if you can post some photos of your 15400st in a leather strap? Also, where did you get your leather strap? Would you need inserts and a conversion kit to do it or a strap alone ( with a tang buckle or a deployant clasp of course) would be enough?

Leather strap don't look bad, but I wouldn't wear this watch with anything other than its original bracelet.

It's a nice compromise, but the loss of the stainless steel links and the velcro clasp are hard for some to accept.

Velcro is a matter of personal preference, but I do think the rubber coming up into the watch that way as an extension of the straps is a clever design, as well as the tapering adding a nice subtle detail.

Can’t attest to the quality of their straps or on the wrist feel, but visually from that angle it’s a great look.

I’ve got the same set up.

To me, it creates a near perfect watch.

It’s actually taken over wrist time from the 5726. I did not see that coming.

That price would only be for the rubber strap. You still need to purchase plots and buckle or deployant clasp. The total conversion can run about $1400.00

If you don’t get the deployant and get the tang buckle instead, it’s around $600-700.
