PAM 00111 Wont change time

Hey guys, writing for a friend of mine who's not on the forums. Wondering if you guys could help or have experienced something similar.

When he pulled the crown out to change the time the other day, the hands didn't move...almost as if the crown wasn't connected to the hands. The watch is still running, but the time can't be changed...

Has anyone had this happen? If so any ball park ideas on how much the repair will cost, and or what you think could be the issue?

Thanks for the help!

Would any good watchmaker work, or send it to Panerai? I mean its a simple ETA movement right?

That should be the situation. ETA very basic movment and shouldn’t be a problem.

This is "fairly" common with 6497. Anyone can repair. Do NOT send to Panerai. Find a good local and enjoy.

Yes, unless you want an OEM refinishing, for a “simple & quick” movement fix, you can do better with an independent.

Sending the eta based watches to Panerai is an exercise of patience....I got my 111 fixed and returned to me in less than 24 hrs, doing it via panerai will probably take 3 months or even more
