Recommendations needed

Hi All

I'm getting a bit bored of scrappy notebooks at work and am looking for something a bit more elegant. Ideally I'm aiming for A5 size and refillable with readily available, reasonably priced, lined refills. I'm not a fan of spiral bindings as they usually get in the way. There is no need for pages to be easily detachable.

Does anyone have any shgggestions?

J

Here are a few for consideration, though I must add I'm unsure which of the following meet your criteria as at least one has a "day planner" and another a "goal" theme. Nonetheless, further research into the manufacturers mentioned will provide greater information on their offerings.

-- Travelers 13714006

-- Rhodia Goalbook A5

-- Clairefontaine Basic My Essential Notebook (available in green, tan, black and, I believe, some other colors). This one and, at least the Rhodia, has paper which comes with dot, line or blank formatting.

Other stationery producers to research are Midori and Tomoe River, amongst others.

Though you state you do not like spiral bound items, the Nock Company DotDash A5 Spiral Notepad is a top-oriented spiral piece thereby keeping one's hand away from that nuisance.

I use this in A4. One refill is approx £20. Lasts me about 12 months. Acid free, fast drying paper in a nice tone.

Had for a few years now and works great.

These look very nice ! Will keep an eye out for them.

If I can ever get hold of some great quality, interesting leather I would like to make my own binder to go with the pen case I did a couple of years ago.
