For owners of the 5726A:

Any regrets not getting the watch on a bracelet?

I know I'm probably in the minority, but in pics, I really like this watch more on the black strap than on the bracelet, as I think it allows it to be dressed up more and I just like the overall look. Perhaps I would feel different if I could see the watch in person on a bracelet and a strap?

I asked this question regarding the 5712r......any issues with the clasp/strap and the way it fits/sits on the wrist?

Flipside.......any 5726/1A owners who wish they had gotten the strap instead?

I think Nautilus should be on a bracelet. If it’s second/third nautilus; go for it. At the end of the day it’s your decision and it’s what YOU love. And if it’s on a strap, go for it.

I’d go with the bracelet. The Nautilus bracelet is amazing, and adds more to the watch than a strap ever can.

In the minority. Clearly.

But I don’t want this watch on bracelet. I think the strap looks way nicer. And there is no comparison to the level of comfort.

I’ve found what is nearly my perfect watch. And it’s the 5726 on rubber. I had the rubber in blue. I just put it on black.

Don’t follow the pack imho. The party line is bracelet. And the bracelet is nice. Sure. But no way. Not for me.

Its almost the contrast that makes it so attractive and distinct.

On bracelet it gets lost in the sea of every other watch in the world.

This is sporty and classy. Dressy and casual. All at the same time.

At this price range you need to love it. Black strap looks great, go for it.

thanks Seth........

So you've tried it on both the strap and bracelet and you find the leather strap is more comfortable?

The value retention in the secondary market is definitely better with the bracelet -- no comparison really-- so I need to make sure I love this watch on a strap and I don't have access to one, unfortunately

What make you decide to remove the leather and replace it with rubber? (which looks good btw)

Shame PP don't offer the interchangeabilty as I loved the quality strap I had on an old 5711J, but I'd take a bracelet first.

I’ve not had it on bracelet. But I almost got a white dialed 5726 on bracelet. There is no comparison of comfort imho.

I also haven’t looked at secondary market values until you mentioned it. But it looks like I could sell mine for what I paid for it. I’m fact, it looks like I could make a few bucks. Extremely unlikely I will ever sell it tho.

I think it’s the sexiest watch out there. And I actually get complimented on it all the time. No one ever has any idea what it is, but I hear something like “wow, that’s a beautiful watch. What is that”? all the time.

Balance wise, it’s perfect from the visual aspect t of the dial, to the weight distribution of case and strap.

I went rubber b because I just love rubber straps. Always have. I just put my 15400 on rubber too. But that’s OEM. Love that too. But it’ll never hold the place the 5726 holds for me.

I genuinely think it’s the watch I’ve been searching for, for 20+ years.

Let me know any questions you might have. I’d be happy to answer.

If you like the 5726, I highly recommended getting the bracelet version....

With the bracelet version you could change to aftermarket leather or rubber strap.....

Once you get the leather strap version, you cant put the bracelet....

Good morning

We do sell the black and brown composite material for the Nautilus. They are $255 each.

"Please note that the Nautilus watches are not interchangeable. If you purchase a bracelet model you cannot use a strap or vice versa."

When I had one I chose the Patek rubber as I thought it was wonderfully elegant and appealingly discreet.

Some people are comfortable with doing things like this

I’m not. Only reason I even have mine on rubberB is because it was made in conjunction with PP. and I even was able to buy and have installed at my AD.

I get the most like the bracelet. I get it.

But damn, not me. If I could swap back and forth, I’d prefer it, but I still think I’d likely only keep it on rubber.

Strap. But for me, the brown strap looks even more casual than the black. And believe it or not, that greyish face/dial looks great with the brown strap. I've only seen it once, and if I ever get this watch (which I'm strongly debating), it would be with the brown strap. Period. (isn't is fascinating how we all have our own opinions?....and that's the beauty of all this rhetoric...don't listen to what others have to say....do what pleases YOU the most, as you're the one who's going to look at your watch a hundred times a day).

I have on the black composite strap and love the look and feel. Had an AP 15400SS and 26331OR on bracelets but love this one on the strap.

Well I got a 26 with the strap and at first was really excited about it. I later found though that it hardly was given much wrist time. I have a 5167 r which I dearly love, so I tried the pp rubber strap for the 26 . I was really disappointed w that as it was a smooth texture. Anyhow for me the 26 was not Exciting anymore and I traded for a 5327 G . Maybe if I had the bracelet 5726 I would have enjoyed it more- would have been nice to have the choice of using bracelet or strap. Just my experience for what it’s worth. BTW love the 5327 ( so far - ha!)

I've thought about the 5167r, since it's a much easier model to get......but not sure it's worth the price bump over the 5167A.
A few questions for you:
1. Can the 5167r be 'dressed up' the way a Rosegold Daytona on OF can?
2. How does the comfort of the rubber strap on the 5167 compare to the OF strap of the daytona ?
3. How does the 5167 rubber compare comfort wise to the 5726 on leather?

Although I have not personally tried the 5167r, the 5167 in ss is easily one of the most comfortable piece you will ever wear. Their composite rubber is superb once cut to your wrist.

I have seen the 5167r being worn by a friend and it depends on the way you view "dressed up" because if you compare it to the Rg Daytona then I would say they fall into the same range of Sporty/Classy pieces whereas the true Dress watches such as a Calatrava would definitely exhude a completely different type of "dressed up".

I think you answered it-- namely, does the 5167r give off the same sporty/dressy vibe as the RG daytona on OF.
The RG daytona has an amazing presence on the wrist.
But I think perhaps the better comparison (and one I should have mentioned instead of the daytona) is the Rolex YM in rose gold on OF vs the 5167r.

Tim does an excellent review of the two watches and in the end, prefers the YM.

5726 on its new RubberB

I recently changed my strap to a grey RubberB. The Patek boutique in London did this for me. They all commented how amazing it looks.

I really do think this watch is under rated in so many ways. Every time I wear this piece I have so many comments, although most have no idea what make of watch it is!

Marc.

I own several Rolexes but wear my PP twice as much. The 67 R is probably the most comfortable piece I own. I guess a problem for me on the 26 was I felt it was too thick. The 67 r with the wonderful chocolate face and flexible matching strap w a wonderful gold clasp is just subtle elegance. Not real flashy but a piece that is just a rare pleasure to own and wear- for me could never compare to a Daytona. Just my opinion and experience.

I agree with others reg the 5167r. Was deciding between the 116655 and the Patek. I chose the Patek and after owning it for a while it’s by far the right choice for me. I’ve owned the steel aquanaut twice before and kept missing something... that something turned out to be some additional weight that the /r delivered perfectly.
Besides that.... it’s just stunning!

The 5167 is svelte, and thus unlike any Rolex you’ll ever put on your wrist. Totally different experiences. Outside of the 5711, 5712, and 5740, you’ll find Nautilus references with more of a Rolex like presence on the wrist.
