Hi all!
Thank you for giving me the oppurtunity to join the forum. I have been a lurker for a little while, finding out weather to buy a new or used Rolex....I quickly found out there are very many non serious dealer out there and, Well, I finally did it. I purchased a new 16613 SS/Gold right before Xmas. I was lucky and got the 2009 mod with the solid end linnks and the serial nr inside the dial...... It was a combination of a 50 birthday gift and a finally memory of my parents....(Mom passed away on Thanksgiving day)....So then I decided the best memory I could have was something I would look at everyday and also would retain it value (both value wise and sentimentally). I forgot to mention , I have been a watch freak for many years. My first watch was a Longines, solid gold given to me by my parents as my confirmation gift. Next was a Certina for my 16th birthday......Then after the passing of my father in 89 I purchased a Longines Conquest, but my lust for a Rolex was always there and I finally now had the oppurtunity, and the only regret I have is not buying one years ago !!!! ( I still have all my watch stored away in a safe place.......) Hans Last edited by hansken; 7 January 2009 at 08:09 PM.. Reason: forgot a few details...... |
