Since when was the new clasp introduced to Daytona?

Personally,

I prefer the long clasp over the short one.

Do you guys know which serial got the long clasp?

Rolex doesn't do or release anything based on a serial number or prefix.. The original billet Daytona clasp bracelet 78490 was released with the new 116520 in 2000. They changed to (or at least the market began seeing) the GMT style clasp bracelet 78590 in late 2008.

My V-series has the new longer clasp which I also prefer. Watch was purchased in 2009.
