Are the 42s the unwanted stepchild now? Not a whole lot of info on this release, no wrist shots, hoping you guys in the know might share some insights.

Pricing looks way lower than the current 26470. Did AP just cost down?

Steel and black ref. 26470ST.OO.A028CR.01 – SFr23,500

Steel and brown ref. 26470ST.OO.A820CR.01 – SFr24,000

This is the only live shot from SIHH I saw... would love to see more of this brown piece...

I think when AP update the chrono movement, the new design for the ROO will be back to the roots... probably with mega tapisserie but they will get rid of the arabic numbers... the only new generation ROO with this scheme is the Trulli and it is one of the most loved 42 ROOs...

They didn't really release any nice 42 ROO besides the platinum and they kinda killed it with the bracelet being platinum. It's too expensive. If it was on a leather strap, I'd probably get it.

Dial looks nice there, black subdials would've been my choice.

I think the chocolate dial will look nice in a RG case. And a ceramic bezel but for standard 42mm ROOs that's wishful thinking so far.

Just a little bump of this thread...

After half a year from SIHH, there is a lot of chocolate (Havana) 42 for sale.. DavidSW has one, and other 5-6 dealers on chrono24 with actual live pics.

Some members here tried platinum and yellow gold versions...

..but no live pics of new Navy surfaced... has anyone tried or own one?

Yup, I am wondering the same too. It's not even in the AP Novelties preview. Hope to see one irl.

To be honest, I think the 42s are a bit outdated.. It would be perfect for me if they replaced them with 44's specs @ a 42mm size.

A minature 44mm design on a 42mm with a ceramic bezel will be great. But AP won't do it as it will eat into ROO44 sales.

Next year is 25th anniversary of the Offshore... beside it is great opportunity to debut in-house chrono, I hope they will be back to the roots - 42mm design with stick markers, so basically 44mm dial design in 42 body... don't belive they will be back to pantograph cut dials on the ROO, and hope for one or two models with ceramic/ceremet bezel...

Yeah... wishful thinking, I know... But I do hope they add that inhouse chrono movement and more bezel options+stick dial

AP'did lower many prices, 10k less on the new ceramic 44. I love the blue and black model here, would just worry about bezel scratches on such a thick watch
