Rolex and Formula 1
Rolex is now not only the official TimePIECE of Formula 1 racing but also the official TimeKEEPER for Formula 1.
It makes me wonder what Rolex is actually used to time a race. I would have thought in the 21 Century it would be some sort of electronic movement...quartz? Anyone know? |

Rolex has been on and off the official timekeeper of Formula One for decades. A couple years ago it was Hublot, TAG-Heuer and Longines have also served this role in the past as well.
The timing is all electronic electronic, there is nothing mechanical about timekeeping in F1. It is just an advertising platform for Rolex that I'm sure they pay dearly for. |

1 good reason Rolex advertise f1, is to stop competitors too, Tag + Hublot done well out of f1
