Now the waiting begins.

Popped in to the AD on my way back home from work for 2 reasons,
1 Noticed on sunday the cyclops on my new sub Lvc wasn't 100% straight!!!, they agreed and is now being sent back to Rolex, they apologised and said they had never seen one like it before......it was only slightly off, but still, it shouldn't be.
2 Accepted the challenge from Nairn to get a Daytona.

So, have put my name down, told them I would like a white one.........he didn't laugh, or say no chance, but did say they are hard to get......

Hmmmm will it be weeks, months or years?????

Mate, what a shame about your LV.
However glad you've accepted my challenge

Keep the chin up, you've got your BLNR to keep you company, and I think due to the disappointment of your LV, your Daytona could be there sooner than you think

Congrats in advance.

You never know, we've a had a few Daytona incomings as of late, where people have simply stumbled on them at AD's or with very quick turn around. Maybe not in UK but I think one recent one was...

I once had a Rolex with a slightly wonky Cyclops, I thought about returning it but then decided to give it a few days, and soon forgot about it, but if it bothers you send it in.

It did bother me, spending over £13K last weekend on 2 of the probably most sort after/hard to get (except daytonaC) pieces in the Uk, which I am thrilled to own, then to find one, the one I'd put my name down on not being 100% perfect is a little bit hard to swallow. takes the shine off it a bit for me,
I had ordered it thinking it would take a bit of time, hoping it would be available for my birthday in august, got it early, left all the stickers on, had it sized but not worn it, as i was keeping it for then.

A bit of a sickner , but on the plus side you'll still have it back for your birthday. I sent my BLNR to RSC due to poor mag on the Cyclopes, it was back in 4 weeks was gutted it needed to go but glad I got it sorted.

why 4 weeks just to have a cyclops replaced, I have been quoted 6 weeks for a full service on my TT 16613.

There was an issue on quite a few models with poor Cyclopes mag but it did seem to affect BLNRs more than other models(There were a couple report on TRF anyway) A faulty batch I suppose, I've not seen any posted lately so I guess it's sorted.

Hope your cyclops issue is sorted soon as possible.

As for the wait on the Daytona, who knows? The Daytona incomings do seem to be picking up lately...so maybe, just maybe.

I had my crystal replaced on my GMT as after service they had replaced it with one with a wonky cyclops. Took 24 hours. No whether that was because I had picked it up from service the day before or not, 4 weeks seems a little long.

Anyway, you can enjoy the blnr for a little while at least....

Well at least you have some options. Hopefully it won't be too long in coming back.

I was in the AD yesterday, picking up a repair, I asked about the Daytona waiting list, and he estimated 4 to 5 years. I can't afford one anyway. Tried on the new Air King, he had one that I could have taken that day, I have a lot of expenses looming, due to work being carried out on the house, so I just didn't feel the time was right, but I promised him I would have one on my wrist by the end of the year.
